Floridale Man: The Joy of Chaos is a comedy sandbox collectathon about embracing silliness and mayhem. Explore the beach! Collect (trash?) items! Merge them to make even more useful trash! Meet the quirky denizens of Floridale, who need your help (even if it's a little chaotic along the way)! Complete tasks in creative ways to help your new friends and become the chaotic hero you were born to be!
my role
Lead Narrative Designer (Full-time)
- Created a 30 page "Character Bible" and other official documentation for the narrative team
- Designed quests given by each of our ~15 main characters
- Wrote 50 pages of barks and lines for quest interactions
- Onboarded and managed two writers who also wrote lines for the project
- Worked directly with other departments (design, visdev, etc) using Miro, G Suite, etc to create authentic and fun characters for the world of Floridale
QA / Playtest Coordinator (Part-time)
- Coordinated outreach to ~50 external playtesters
- Managed spreadsheets of data for each monthly playtest
- Conducted asynchronous playtests
- Gathered, analyzed, and summarized playtest data for our production and design teams
HR Assistant (Part-time)
- Created MBI's Employee Handbook (~50 pages)
- Conducted worker-centered policy research
- Wrote policy proposals
- Managed HR software and budgets
